Partner, Jim Delia, was recently elected to the Board of Directors at the Ridgewood YMCA. He follows on this Board Partner, Tom Wells, who served on the YMCA Board of Directors for 9 years, including a two-year term as its President. Partner, Tom Wells, remains a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ridgewood YMCA.Partner, Jim Maggio, who recently served out a partial term on the Board of Directors of the Paramus Chamber of Commerce, was installed to a full term on the Board at the Chamber of Commerce’s Installation Dinner on May 2, 2003. Jim has an even “bigger” event up-coming soon, as on Saturday, May 31st, he and Jacquie Trezza will celebrate their marriage. Congratulations Jim!
Partner, Cheryl Morrissey, who has been active in the Bergen County Division of the American Inns of Court, recently represented Bergen County at the National Inns of Court Conference in Philadelphia. This conference was attended by litigators, and Federal and State Judges from around the Country.
Our office has participated in the Paramus High School Career Day for many years. This year, our participation was coordinated by Associate, George Christopoulos. Associate, Darrell Felsenstein, recently took the Career Day concept on the road speaking to students at the Garfield Public Schools on careers and law in conjunction with a program sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation.
Partner, Tom Wells, who has three daughters, will be celebrating the marriage of his oldest daughter, Ciera Courtney Wells, this summer. Ciera, who is marrying a young man from Antwerp, Belgium who she met during her two years of study there, will in accordance with European tradition, be marrying first in a civil ceremony in Belgium, followed by a party … then a religious ceremony here in the United States on July 5th, followed by a second party.
Many friends and clients of our office know Partner, Tom Wells’ father, Raymond Wells, a long-time architect in Bergen County. Ray celebrated his 75th birthday at a community celebration held as a surprise party at the Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus on Wednesday, May 28th. Happy Birthday Ray! We wish you many more.
Congratulations to our long-time client David Bolger and his wife, Lois on jointly receiving the Guardian Angel Award from West Bergen Mental Health. David and Lois were honored at West Bergen’s special 40th Anniversary “Ruby Ball” held at the International
Crossroads on April 4th. Our office participated as a “Dinner Sponsor”. Congratulations are also in order for Jim and Cathy Napolitano, who were special honorees at this dinner. Jim serves as President of Commerce Bank North which is also a long-time client of our office.
Valley Hospital in Ridgewood has now broken ground on the new Bolger Emergency Department, which will provide new state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for this important function at the hospital. The fund-raising campaign for this project which was led off by a $1,000,000 gift by our client, David Bolger, is still underway. Partner, Stuart Liebman, is serving as the Chairperson of the Corporate Committee of the campaign. Our office has represented Valley Hospital for a number of years, most recently in securing approvals and assisting with the development for its now open and flourishing Robert & Audrey Luckow Pavillion, the new home to The Daniel & Gloria Blumenthal Cancer Center and The George R. Jaqua Same Day Services Center at 1 Valley Health Plaza in Paramus.
