As New Jersey begins heading into Stage 2 of its reopening, beginning on June 15, 2020, restaurants and bars will be permitted to offer outdoor dining. With this reopening, the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control will, with the completion of the appropriate permit, allow retail consumption privilege licensees to expand the licensed footprint to nearby property to accommodate social distancing. The permit can be applied for beginning on Friday, June 5, 2020 and will be available exclusively via POSSE. The online form fee is $75.00 and the application must be endorsed by the Municipal Clerk and Police Chief through POSSE. Permits will be valid through November 30, 2020.
