Ridgewood Planning Board Clears the Way for Downtown Housing Projects

This past Tuesday marked a major win for the Developers and Wells, Jaworski & Liebman, LLP before the Village Planning Board.    Developers were all smiles as they left Tuesday night’s meeting of the Planning Board, which approved four separate amendments to the village’s master plan, paving the way for high-density, multifamily housing projects downtown.  The four master plan changes were approved by majority vote;

The proposed developments are The Dayton, a 106-unit luxury garden apartment complex at the site of the former Brogan Cadillac dealership; the 50-unit Chestnut Village, on Chestnut Street; and the 52-unit Enclave, on East Ridgewood and North Maple avenues.

The amendments approved Tuesday raise the number of allowable housing units per acre in each zone to 35 from 12.  The amendments will next go before the village council.  A NorthJersey.com article covered the story: http://www.northjersey.com/news/ridgewood-planning-board-clears-way-for-high-density-housing-1.1347831
