About James
With more than thirty years in the legal practice, Partner James Delia is an exceptionally experienced Land Use, Real Estate and Business Lawyer. He joined Wells, Jaworski & Liebman in 1993 after starting his career as a law clerk for the Honorable James T. Murphy, J.S.C. and then as an assistant Bergen County Prosecutor where he rose to the level of Chief of the Prosecutor’s Office White Collar Division and Assistant Chief of the office’s organized crime unit. He represents a wide variety of clients, from small, local businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
He is well-versed in the fields of Land Use, Commercial Real Estate Transactions, Financing, complex title matters, commercial leasing and other sophisticated commercial transactions.
Jim received his degrees from St. Joseph University and Seton Hall University’s School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association.
